Elon Musk is an entrepreneur and founder of PayPal and Tesla Motors and founder of SpaceX. He is also a board member of Solar City.
He was born June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa, to the family of a local engineer, Errol Musk, and a Canadian nutritionist model, Maye Musk (born Haldeman). At age twelve, he sold his first video game. In 1988 (17-years-old), Elon left South Africa to Kingston, Ontario (Canada) to avoid military service in the army of the pro-apartheid regime. He then joined Queen’s University and studied finance through part-time jobs and summer jobs.
In 1992, he went to the United States and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he has been studying physics and trade for three years on a scholarship. In 1995, he received a scholarship to pursue a PhD in energy physics at Stanford University.

Next to this, Musk is CEO of SpaceX Company, developing and manufacturing spacecrafts, and principal owner and chairman of Tesla Motors, which builds electric cars in the sports car segment. He is also a board member of Solar City.
Musk’s fortune is estimated at U.S. $4.5 billion.
In his garage, Musk has McLaren F1 worth about U.S. $1 million and an Aero L-39 worth approximately U.S. $250,000. In addition, Falcon 900 used in the Thank You for Smoking, whose Musk was one of the producers, is also registered to Musk.
Musk also owns a Tesla Roadster with number 0001 (the first series-produced) from Tesla Motors.
