Kim Jong Un, born January 8, 1983 or 1984, is de facto North Korean supreme leader after his father Kim Jong Il died 17 December 2011. Kim Jong Un is the third son of Kim Jong Il third wife Ko Young Hi, who died in 2004.

Here he studied 1993-1998 under the pseudonym Chol Pak (or Pak Chol), officially, he was registered as the son of a driver of the DPRK embassy in Switzerland. He was always and everywhere accompanied by senior Korean “student.” Former classmates remember that Kim Jr. loved to ski and was interested in basketball and was a big fan of Michael Jordan and Jean Claude Van Dam. According to the school curriculum, Kim Jr. should be fluent in English and German. The school director has determined him as “timid.” At age 15, Kim left school without passing the exam.
There is also a version that in 1999-2000, Kim Jong Un attended the Liebefeld Steinhölzli School in another Bern’s suburb. There he also was not registered under his real name, but as Pak Ying, like son of the DPRK embassy officials. His classmate Portuguese Joao Michaela tells that Kim admitted that he was the son of North Korean ruler, and showed him a picture of him with Kim Jong Il. In both versions, many personal traits of Korean students are the same, but whether it was Kim Jong Un in both cases or whether it was his older brother John Kim Nam remains unclear.
